The url stuff is just for formality btw, haha. I usually put those in comics that are like 15 or more pages but I thought of adding it here because there’s a lot of space in the last page and it would be a waste to just leave it so blank, lol.

I promised to show some BTS stuff so here they are:

So this idea was from almost three years ago, it was the first time I’ve used a b6 notebook for ideas and storyboards and I found them very convenient since I felt more comfortable drawing in a smaller notebook. Not to mention, it being portable helped so I could bring it anywhere, lol.

Anyway, that notebook is filled with so many comic ideas like these. (I’m already on my third b6 notebook, haha.) it’s kind of a shame that it took me almost three years to. execute this idea into a comic but things and life get in the way, sadly.

I overestimated myself thinking I could finish this in a few days but alas, it’s expected for me to be slower than before because I’m out of pratice with drawing Kaiba and Jou , ygo characters and comic making in general.

Plus RL to attend to, haha.

ahhhhhhh….

….I just wanna draw 24/7. ORZ

But it feels good making comics. I t’s good to remember why I make them in the first place. ^^

Blood+ Fancomic [ Reunion]

So it’s been quite a while since I made a monochromatic doujin/fancomic and by quite a while, I mean, 2 years, lol. The last one was in 2020 with the AUU. ^^;;

I apologise for being slower than before as I am out of practice with the comic-creation process as of now but hopefully the more I make them, the faster I become. I did try to put as much effort as I can with this Blood+ fancomics because…. it’s my first Blood+ doujin and I loved the series since 2006/7 so I wanted to give as much justice to the series through not half arsing it, haha. (Though there are minor mistakes I overlooked, ORZ.)

Very special thanks to Rin for helping me out with this so much and for providing the 3d assets esp with. the Cello Case of Haji. You spared me from the frustration of drawing that hell of a detailed coffin cello case repeatedly, haha. Lots of love <3333

UPDATE [14 OCT 2022] : edited some minor composition mistakes, grammar errors and added a few missed details.

CITRON AE (AU) – The Rat Race

This idea was inspired from how people especially in my generation struggle with the “rat race” of life. Basically, achieving almost everything (house and lot, a married life with a child/children, 9-5 job, financial stability) early, most likely in your twenties or in your early thirties under a competitive routine and environment. /cough/30under30lists/cough/

I was wondering how it was like back in the Ancient Egyptian times and from what I’ve researched, girls were married as young as thirteen years old while boys were married at an average age between 16 to 20 years old.

I exaggerated the “ideal age” here as this was mostly a gag. And maybe Mr. Ishtar’s generation (AE boomers) had the Ancient Egyptian Dream earlier than 16 years old.

Anyway, I don’t want to overexplain myself on this comic, lol. I’m super fatigued that I’ve been having difficulty with finding the right words to say. My brain is deep fried right now but ya get the point. You don’t have to follow society’s life script and be pressured into doing and buying shit because others are. That’ll just lead to a life of regret and resentment especially if you just did it to catch up with the Joneses and not being patient and in tune with yourself and what you really want in life. And that’s something I try to tell myself everyday when I feel insecure about where I am in life, lol.

I binge watched HH a week ago and I gotta say, it ages like fine wine. I still laugh at it after all these years. 😀

(Ben is still my favourite 🥰 ~~~)

Drunk History from Comedy Central, on the other hand, is…err…tryhard honestly., sorry to DH fans. It was recommended in my youtube feed after I binge watched HH and I cringed throughout watching them especially on how the story was narrated.

I mean, yeah some jokes make me chuckle slightly but all in all, it  isn’t good but childish. They come off like, “HEY GUYS, I SAID A THING. I”M SO FUNNY RIGHT? THIS IS SO FUNNEH.” Those were the vibes I got from it tbh. For something targeted to adults presumably, they seem to have an obnoxious and a hammed up “humour” style.

 Maybe for others it’s funny, but I personally didn’t see the appeal of it. HH is wayyy better and funnier, frankly lol. 

(Really, they should have just let the actors speak and made it a skit instead rather than having a random drunk narrate it. The series would have been more entertaining if they did it that way. )

Anyway, rant aside. Here’s the short comic.
